Amy Baldwin Headshot
Amy Baldwin* is honored to be a member of the 2010 Barter company. Recent Barter credits include WMKS:Christmas 1942 (Cindy), The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), Four Places (Ellen) and Adjoining Trances (Carson McCullers). Amy was also seen in Blithe Spirit (Ruth), The Road Where It Curves Away (Opal), Wooden Snowflakes (Eve) and Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice). A graduate of Emory and Henry College, Amy attended Marshall University to pursue her graduate studies in Forensic Science. When she is not on the stage or on a bike, Amy is in active pursuit of a first- edition crime novel that has yet to grace her bookshelf.
Evalyn Baron Headshot Evalyn Baron* Back at Barter for 2010, she’s been privileged to direct not only the popular Oklahoma! but also such favorites as 1776, Sanders Family Christmas, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Evita. Among her other favorite Barter directorial efforts have been Wise Women, This Is Our House, Adjoining Trances and Little Shop of Horrors, all for Stage II. Listen to “Theatre Matters,” her radio show on 90.7 FM (WEHC) Fridays at 1:30pm and Sundays at 12:30pm. Evalyn is married to Barter Marketing Director (and favorite actor) Peter Yonka.
MLB Headshot Mary Lucy Bivins* was recently seen as Miss Sook in Holiday Memories. She begins her 6th season at Barter with a very different lady, Mrs. Gottlieb, the “dead man’s mother.” The joy of her work is the opportunity to play so many different women (and men, too!). Before becoming a member of Barter’s Resident Acting Company, she worked in regional theatres from New Hampshire to Florida. Screen credits include movies and television presentations, a number of which appear on the Hallmark Channel. She considers herself very fortunate to call Abingdon home and the work at Barter a dream come true.
Ashley Campos Headshot Ashley Campos* is thrilled to be back for 2010! She was honored to spend last fall traveling the country with Barter Theatre’s production of Of Mice and Men (Curley’s Wife). Some of her favorite Barter roles include Ruby Mae Green in Pow’r in the Blood, Babette in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Una in Blackbird and The Mute in The Fantasticks. Ashley is forever grateful for the love lavished upon her from her hubby, her family, and Boo Boo and Rampage.
Sean Campos Headshot Sean Campos* is happy to be back home after Barter Theatre’s 2009 national tour of Of Mice and Men (Whit). A native of Florida, Sean has been seen performing for professional companies throughout the Southeast. Barter audiences may remember him in various productions such as The Fantasticks (El Gallo), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), Othello (Cassio), Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks (Michael) and Doubting Thomas (Thomas). Other credits include Cats (The Rum Tum Tugger), Chicago (Mary Sunshine), Proof (Hal) and I Love You, You’re Perfect... (Man 2). Sean sends love and a great thank-you to his wife Ashley, the Fam, and the folks at the Barter for keeping him going.
Ezra Colon Headshot Ezra Colón* feels blessed to be a part of Barter Theatre’s 77th season. From Barter Player to Resident Acting Company member, he has been in shows such as Hamlet; Edgar Allan Poe: Master of Macabre; Don’t Cry for Me, Margaret Mitchell; Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; Jimmie Rodgers: America’s Blue Yodeler; Frankenstein; Holiday Memories and several others. As the list grows, so does his gratitude toward Rick, Amanda, Katy, Hardy, Katie and fellow artists who have encouraged his growth and learning along the way.
Dan Folino Headshot Dan Folino* is thrilled to be back at Barter for this season. He hails from Cleveland, where he has performed in such shows as Evil Dead: The Musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Equus and Sweeney Todd, to name a few. He has many passions in his life: writing, singing, stealing Bowie’s band, fronting vanity Crash, designing special effects, being better than Saturday Night Live...but his greatest passion is for his beautiful and patient fiancé, Crystal: forever my favorite.
Hannah Ingram Headshot Hannah Ingram* is thrilled to call Barter home for another year. Past Barter roles: Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors); Elizabeth (Frankenstein); Olene (Showtime at First Baptist); Narrator/Angel (Joseph...); Evita (Evita); Belle (Disney’s Beauty & the  Beast); Acid Queen (Tommy). Other past adventures: From Paris to Main Street (NYC); For A Good Time Call… (NYC); Steel Magnolias (Shelby); South Pacific (Nellie); Carousel (Walnut Street). She also spent 3 years traveling worldwide, entertaining military as a member of the USO World troupe, “The Liberty Belles.” She is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, and member of Actors’ Equity. Ben Mackel Headshot Ben Mackel* from Hendersonville, NC, holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Catawba College. Some past roles at Barter include: Joseph (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat) and the title roles in Bat Boy and Peter Pan. Ben has also played Dodger (Oliver!), Danny (Baby), Matt (The Fantasticks), and The Pinball Wizard and Cousin Kevin (The Who’s Tommy). He has composed music for several plays and musicals for Barter including Billy - Goat - Gruff: The Musical, The Elves and the Shoemaker and Of Mice and Men. Tricia Matthews Headshot Tricia Matthews* With the help of many talented people, Tricia has appeared at Barter as The Wicked Witch of the West, Professor Van Helsing, Marilla Cuthbert, Alma Carroll, Hannah Ferguson, Caroline Frankenstein, Sally Timmerman, Faye Clementine Nettles, Faye Thacker Cobb, Arlene, Bessie, Jan, Lucille, Clara, Goneril, Leonato, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Lord, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Winthrop, Mrs. Darling, Mrs. Cratchit, Miss Ella, Widow Corney, Monseigneur de la Tremouille and Eleanor of Aquitaine. She also directed Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, The Littlest Angel, the mini-production of The Quiltmaker and A Year With Frog and Toad. Thank you to everyone who makes Barter happen. She is looking forward to 2010!
David McCall Headshot David McCall is privileged to have joined the Barter family. This native Tennessean holds a Music Performance degree in Voice from Murray State University in Kentucky and joined The Barter Players after graduation in May ’07. In his two terms as a Player, he appeared in 18 Player productions, including Oedipus the King, A Year with Frog and Toad, Tuck Everlasting, The Littlest Angel, Where the Red Fern Grows and Rapunzel. He’s also been privileged to take part in many Barter productions such as The Who’s Tommy, Little Shop of Horrors, The Foreigner, Miracle on 34th Street, Bat Boy and Holiday Memories. In August ’09, David joined Barter’s Resident Acting Company. Thanks go to Rick Rose, Katy Brown, John Hardy, Cathy Bush, and most importantly Mom, Dad and Katie Beth.
Gannon McHale Headshot Gannon McHale* returns to Barter where he has been seen as Aunt Augusta/Henry in Travels with My Aunt, Dad in Alice Through the Picture Tube, Claudius in Hamlet, and most recently as Candy in Barter’s National Tour: Of Mice and Men. Broadway experience includes James Joyce’s The Dead and The Sound of Music, and Off Broadway in The God Committee, Fame on 42nd Street and The Fantasticks. He is also the author of STEALTH BOAT: Fighting the Cold War in a Fast Attack Submarine, a memoir of his Submarine Service experience during the Cold War.
Rick McVey Headshot Rick McVey* is proud to be returning to Barter’s 2010 Resident Acting Company and glad to be home after appearing as The Boss in Barter’s 2009 national touring production of Of Mice and Men. In addition, Rick also appeared last year in Barter’s The Wizard of Oz (The Cowardly Lion), The Fantasticks (Bellomy) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat (Levi). Other Barter shows include Miracle on 34th Street (Kris Kringle); The Desperate Hours (Dan Hilliard); Don’t Cry for Me, Margaret Mitchell (Victor Fleming); Blackbird (Ray); Doubting Thomas (Pastor Bob); It’s a Wonderful Life (George Bailey) and many others.
Mike Ostroski Headshot Mike Ostroski* Past roles from Mike’s eleven seasons at Barter include Percy Blakeney (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Jamie (The Last Five Years), Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Benedick (Much Ado About Nothing) and Sam (Fully Committed). Additionally a director, playwright and composer, his musical, I Can Be Anything, opened The Barter Player’s 2009 season. His adaptation of Tom Sawyer will tour in 2010. Mike studied at CCM, Miami University, and abroad at Cambridge University and London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Nicholas Piper Headshot Nicholas Piper* is an Associate Artistic Director of Barter Theatre as well as the Director of the Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, he began his career at Barter as an intern before becoming a founding member of Barter’s First Light Theatre (now The Barter Players). Favorite roles include The Creature in Frankenstein, Jimmy Reed in The Road Where It Curves Away, Biff in Death of a Salesman, Count Dracula in Dracula! and Carter Stanley in Man of Constant Sorrow. Love to Wendy and the Goose!
Michael Poisson Headshot Michael Poisson* is a proud member of Barter’s Resident Acting Company. He first came here from his native Massachusetts in 2001 and has appeared in over 40 productions. Favorite roles, to name a few, include Dracula (Dracula!), Atticus (To Kill a Mockingbird), Ryan (The Liquid Moon), Felix (The Odd Couple), Henry (The Lion in Winter), Herb (Lying in State), Matthew (Green Gables), Ronnie (The Quiltmaker), Boolie (Driving Miss Daisy) and Scrooge (A Christmas Carol).
Rebecca Reinhardt Headshot Rebecca Reinhardt is delighted to return to Barter Theatre for the 2010 season! You last saw her during the 2009 Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights in Catherine Bush’s The Controversial Rescue of Fatty the Pig, and she also had the pleasure of accompanying Barter Theatre as the Company Manager on the 2009 National Tour of Of Mice and Men. Many thanks to Rick and Katy for this amazing opportunity, and love to Damon—thanks for being on the end of my kite string.
Danny Vaccaro Headshot Danny Vaccaro* is thrilled to be back home at Barter. Past shows include Charlie in The Foreigner, The Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, Pirelli in Sweeney Todd and Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain. In New York, Danny played The Tinman in Madison Square Garden’s The Wizard of Oz, Tripp in Streakin’, and was critically acclaimed for the role of Sr. Robert Anne in Nunsense A-men. Regional: Jacob Marley - A Christmas Carol (Alabama Shakes), Bobby - A Chorus Line (Walnut St.), Jimmy Deegan - The New Yorkers (Marriott Lincolnshire). TV: Law & Order: SVU, All My Children. Danny is a proud member of Actor’s Equity as well as a Northwestern alum. Love to Mom and Dad.
Eugene Wolf Headshot Eugene Wolf* Recent roles include: A. P. Carter (Keep on the Sunny Side), Lear (LEAR), Smee (Peter Pan), Cratchit (A Christmas Carol), Peter (Doubting Thomas) and Fagin (Oliver!). Film: Freedom, The Curse, Box of Moonlight. Television: Will the Circle Be Unbroken (PBS American Experience), Lost Highways (BBC).

* The actors and stage managers employed by Barter Theatre are members of Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers in the United States. Barter Theatre is a member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), a national association of professional non-profit theatres. Barter employs directors and choreographers who are members of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SSD&C) and designers who are members of United Scenic Artists (USA).
